Hi Andy.

My named is Ed Dokus, W1GPP.

i'M JUST RETURNING TO ACTIVITY, WHOOPS, wrong case, after a long abscence due to sport aviation. However, I maintained my league membership and continued to peruse the articles in QST.

The recent article on the water pipe 2 meter slot antenna captured my interest and I decided to build one. I also sprung for an Icom IC-7100. I managed to set it up ok and read the mail on 2 meters. After weeks of further study of the huge manual, I haven't been able to raise any response to my blind calls.

Perhaps you or others reading this note can offer some advice to get me on the right track.

73's, Ed
