Hi, all!

I wanted to send out a call for input to the BARS monthly newsletter in time for the August issue.

Because of vacations, we skipped the July issue but we want to publish again. Can you help?

I have a duty to blather on and on in the first page, and up to now every Board member has published content. But to keep things alive requires input from BARS members. And it’s not difficult!

Can you pen even a few paragraphs and send them to our esteemed Editor, Paula Crock KC1EDA at:

Cognosco at fastmail.fm

Ideas for things worth writing (and us reading):

-a memorable QSO, DX or ragchew
-an antenna you put up
-a kit you built recently
-the radio hobby you had before or in conjunction with hamming (SWL or scanning etc.)
-how you Elmered (helped) a fellow ham, or how one helped you
-Field Day 2019, with BARS or otherwise
-a past BARS remembrance
-a great ham flea market or ebay find
-a technical topic you learned
-a project where Murphy visited
-a new mode or band you tried
-a ham resource/site/app you just tried

You get the idea. A handful of paragraphs is plenty, and include photos if you can.

Please consider writing something up for us to enjoy. Paula will polish it for inclusion and you will start conversations at the next BARS meeting.

Note, you can also email me direct if you don’t have an article to write at the moment but you have a topic you might want to hear about.

Thanks, everyone!
Andy
