I was very happy to see 15 other smiling faces at the Great Wall last night. The weather cooperated and I guess the chefs did, too. There were many second and third plates...

Special thanks to Jon AC1EV for his very kind words about BARS. Keeping our club happy, friendly, and interesting is a challenge and being appreciated for accomplishing this is gratifying. Jon, now that you are Secretary of the Nashua Amateur Radio Society I hope you can still attend some of our mertings and engage with us.

And multiple thanks are deserved by Jim N1HTS for running this year’s Yankee Swap again. I would say over half participated and there were some great gifts provided. All of us were shocked at the number of gifts NOT traded away! Fun stuff.

Also, Jim read my article about the W1OGU (later W1OG, Gus Fallgren) 20m QRPp 80mW transmitter that I highlighted in our January newsletter. He went searching in his basement and gifted me a new, old-stock Raytheon 2N64 Germanium transistor, similar enough to Gus’s that now I MUST recreate his rig. It requires two and I have a similar top-hat Ge one I can try. Stay tuned. And Jim’s is good - see pic - though it looks like leakage might be an issue. ;-)
