Andy, Thanks for this reminder, sure a lot of great “cultural memories” here.  Arthur Godfrey is narrating in sections.  It was just last week, I discovered a letter from Barry Goldwater, thanking a ham in the Bedford Club, in ’64, thanking them for his nomination to the A-1 operators club. This video referenced great history by Clinton B. Desoto, 200 Meters and Down.  Those were the days!

I have the ARRL amateur radio collection DVD which contains this - intending to watch with friends when quarantine ends. But you might enjoy it from Youtube. 

 

Boy we could produce a more up to date one for 2020!

 

It’s about 1/2 hr long and has some neat gear footage in my opinion.
