Hi BARS members,

An ARISS <http://www.ariss.org/>  contact is scheduled for this Friday,
February 19th with students from the Bishop Guertin HS in Nashua, NH.  The
contact will be a multipoint telebridge contact hosted by Fred Kemmerer,
AB1OC <https://qrz.com/db/AB1OC/> .  The astronaut is Shannon Walker,
amateur radio call sign  <https://www.qrz.com/db/KD5DXB/> KD5DXB.

The pre-contact program for Bishop Guertin's Contact will begin on Friday,
February 18th, 2021 at 12:20 pm eastern time (17:20 UTC). The students at
BGHS will be talking with astronaut

Shannon Walker,  <https://www.qrz.com/db/KD5DXB/> KD5DXB who is onboard the
ISS. The ISS will come over the horizon here in New Hampshire, USA at about
12:56 pm eastern time and will plan to make initial contact with Shannon
then.  You can listen to the downlink from the ISS on 145.800 MHz FM and you
can watch the pre-contact program and the contact on the ARISS YouTube
channel via the following link:

The downlink can be heard on a handheld 2m radio, so if you are away from
your shack, bring one with you and you can wow your friends and co-workers
while you listen from radio signals from outer space!
