Hi Charlie
For future reference, here is a formula for your experience:
TX*1 = SHY*2
I hope this helps!

Hi Chris et al,
I 'd like to give everyone a bit of a laugh at my own expense.
I have been having trouble of late transmitting out on my 2 meter 440cm mobile Yaseau which is what I use to check into the weekly nets.
So, yesterday I decided to stick my head out my office window and noticed the coax tore away from the ladder line of my $35 Ed Fong antenna (without the PVC) pipe.
Anyhow, being that we are supposed to be tinkerers, experimenters, curious, etc. I figured I woul ponch the "stinger" of the coax as I held it up in the air and my reception came in much better.
Here is where the fun happened --- I then had the bright idea, using myself as the antenna, to try and transmit. At the very same moment all the training and reading we have done on electro magnetic energy, on the possibility of RF/radiation burns that can occur I experienced what it must be like to put your finger on one of the glowing red strips in a household toaster!!
Oh, yes
Current def runs through the coax!!!
My transmission ended as fast as it started!!
Anyhow, I will yield back your time and thank you all.
Once warmer weather comes about I will be putting up my 16 foot dual band antenna.
Till then 73,
Charlie
