Thanks for the great question Willie, you've motivated me to consider this
more deeply:
"Adobe" is the key word, the "Adobe" Flash Player is history. Many folks
like Google, Apple have migrated away from Adobe already, using a variety of
competitive Flash Players.
All Windows updates are always free, some "upgrades" are not.
An hour ago, I updated my HP Laptop, to 20H2, the entire process took 10
minutes, runs fine, this is a contrast to the 8 hour update of my Lenovo
desktop, which is nearly new. It now appears the Lenovo has some hardware
anomaly which I'm troubleshooting now.

Not to be dense, but:

Microsoft released a Flash player free OS upgrade for W10
Does that mean that the latest Win10 contains a Flash Player function that
doesn't cost anything, or that the latest Win10 is free of any Flash
encumbrances?
[I need Flash for a few hardware things that may never get upgraded, so I
need a path forward....]
Thanks!
