 At the website below, you can sign up for text alerts to your cell phone. The text alerts are for the location when you sign up, but they only send an alert when the station is at least 30 degrees up for good visibility. Works great.

One of those websites that _doesn't_ work with the www. prefix.
Also, that tells you the visibility from nearby towns, where others will allow you to narrow down your location.  Not that there's a big difference.
There's an iPhone App for everything, but my Favorite Wife (N1IUS) was using SkyGuide and knew exactly where to look.  I'm sure there are dozens of others.

Not one of the better passes I’ve seen, but it made up for it when I was following it on its Northern leg through my binoculars and a communications satellite went through the field of view in the opposite direction.

Sorry, Ken, but that was LAST night (the GMT date-time would have been 0041 on 5/19, probably the cause of the confusion).  I watched it.  Tonight, we had a similar pass, starting at 2043, but it only got up to 45° altitude.

I use heavensabove.com to keep track of ISS passes.
