Hi everyone,

Looks like some great weather for NEAR-Fest this weekend, for those who are
attending. We've got a great newsletter for you to check out between
visiting the tables (or perhaps when you return home). Check it out at

newsletter editor, Marla, for putting this together and to everyone who
contributed. In case you missed Marla's announcement, the deadline to get
in content for the June newsletter is a bit earlier than usual this month.
Be sure to get your contributions in by *8 am on May 15th* if you want them
included in the June newsletter. Send them to Marla at wa1gsf at comcast.net.

This Wednesday is our monthly meeting of the membership. Monthly meetings
happen on the first Wednesday of the month at 7 pm, currently via Zoom.
This month's meeting will feature discussion about Field Day. It sounds
like we have a few potential locations for this year's activities. Field
Day is always a lot of fun, so be sure to join in and find out what it's
all about. An in person club Field Day can't happen without the help of
volunteers though, so if you have even a little bit of time that you can
offer to help with one of the many aspects of Field Day, you'll be doing a
great service for the club. If you're not familiar with Field Day, here are

Zoom info for the meeting should be going out in the next few days, so keep
an eye on your inboxes.

As a reminder, BARS dues run from January 1-December 31. If you have not
renewed your membership for this year, you can do so online at
https://www.w1hh.org/join-or-renew/. Dues are just $15 for the year and
help cover a number of club expenses, such as the Zoom subscription, the
website, and Field Day activities. If you're not sure if your membership is
currently, reach out to our club Treasurer, Bruce Anderson, at
w1lus at hotmail.com.
