 I remember Al from the lilt in his voice when he announced his call on the 147.12 repeater.  It was a unique sound and his voice was certainly identifiable.  He was proud of his family and especially his kids.  When we'd chat at auctions he always wanted to talk about them.

Al and I worked at Honeywell during the 1970s and we were both active in the1200 club.  We both worked to put 72/12 on the air (he worked on the RF stuff and I did the control logic) and together we ran the club store at the auction.

I remember Allan as “one of the good guys” back in the early days of BARS and the 1200 Club, especially the 1200 Honeywell Auction. He was the longtime Trustee of the W1DC 147.12 Billerica Repeater.
