Good afternoon new techs and BARS members.

In preparation for field day, we need to get a final tally of those
interested in joining us so we can plan for food, the number of stations to
operate and hours of operation. Depending on the response, we may only
operate for a few hours on Saturday instead of the full 24 hours. It will
start at 2:00 pm on Saturday so come and join us to see what field day is
about. Food will be served for dinner and we're trying to plan an outdoor
area to operate.

Field day is a chance to operate and learn from more experienced hams and
make contacts around the world. It’s a great learning experience and helps
new licensees break the ice and become familiar with the different modes
and operation.

The location will be at the Billerica Emergency management station at 67
Alexander Rd so come and check it out to see what field day is all about.
There’s no requirement for you to operate but it is a good chance to use
Extra class privileges using the club license.

Please send a quick reply if you would like to join us. We want this to be
a fun event for the group and to promote amateur radio and emergency
communication practice.

Thank you,

Mark Nelson
