Gently manipulate the monitor signal cable while watching it, possibly connecting the charger changes cable or cable connector possition.

Does it appear the montior always works with AC power applied to laptop? Possible the battery is failing. Can you operate the laptop display and monitor simultaneiouly to verify the signal source is still available when monitor looses signal?

Subject: [bars] Computer Problem

Hello everyone,

I know this isn't radio related, although I would like to use this laptop with my 2nd monitor for my radio use. So here's the problem. Up until last Friday, my laptop and 2nd monitor played very nicely. Then Friday night, the 2nd monitor kept losing its signal. I tried another monitor and it did the same thing. I tried for over an hour to solve the problem, to no avail.
Then, my "battery low, please plug in" notice came on, so I plugged my laptop in and the 2nd monitor worked fine.

Tonight, I fired up my fully charged laptop and my 2nd monitor started to lose its signal again. I plugged in my laptop, and once again, the 2nd monitor never lost its signal in the 2 hours I worked on it. I just unplugged my laptop for haha's and the 2nd monitor is blinking in and out again. Any ideas?

73!
