[bars] Fwd: Seacoast flea market in Hampton

I don’t think of hamfests as being entirely in “the business world,” though.

I’m in my 30s and use Venmo and PayPal for other things. I have always used
cash at hamfests and would hesitate to accept electronic payment there
unless no one else appeared interested in buying my stuff. (If PayPal’s
reporting my income to the IRS anyway, I might as well just sell everything
on eBay. But that’s not what hamfests are about.)

It’d be one thing for people there to make a living, but for people just
looking to sell some extra stuff from their shack, there’s not really much
incentive to accept what they see as a less-convenient means of payment
when most other people will pay cash.

It would be convenient to have ATMs at Nearfest, though…
