I broke down and bought the RT Systems programming cable and software for
my FT-2980 at HRO after making some sales today at Near-Fest. As I
suspected (and what I was planning on doing all along), all it does is
capture a clone session from the radio, imports it into the user interface,
and when you are ready, you tell the radio to receive a clone session. It
fools it into think it is talking to another FT-2980.
