Make sure you in no way infer to any business that they may use ham radio IN their business as that would not be legal.

Subject: [bars] Recruting new Hams in EMASS

Section Manager Jon McCombie, N1ILZ, has just appointed me EMASS Section Youth Coordinator. While my title only mentions youth, Jon and I have decided to expand that to all phases of recruiting prospective Ham potentially including from businesses.

The project will not directly target the young adults themselves but focus on convincing certain adult populations such as teachers, homeschoolers and makers that Ham Radio is the first step to a long term and lucrative career in telecommunications.

We are asking a small favor of you to help us get the campaign going.

Our first task is to develop a comprehensive listing of the skills that can be learned through Ham Radio. This is where you can help.

Most hams become very proficient in one or two specific areas ( constructing , contesting, digital communications etc.) and we are asking you to pick your favorite area of Ham Radio and send along 5 skills which can be acquired in those areas ( examples: soldering, emergency communications, antenna design).

A comprehensive list of these skills will be developed and distributed to whoever is interested.

Timely updates will be published as well as an occasional report on our progress. If you would like to receive occasional updates, let me know.
