My G800 has been up for over 20 years without an issue turning a 24' 1/4" wall AL mast (half in/half out), tribander, 6m, 2m and 440 beams. JimSent from my Samsung Galaxy , an AT&T LTE smartphone

They are exactly the same. The G-1000 controller is a G-800 that can handle a little more torque, calls for an additional 0.5A of juice, puts out the same voltages to the rotor and the connectors on the control cable are exactly the same. They both use pins 1-5, and 6 is not used. The newer versions have model numbers that end in "DXA" and the only major difference is that they use DC motors instead of AC.73,KC1SOZJuanOn Tue, Jun 6, 2023 at 6:21 PM Tim KC1RET <kc1ret.radio at gmail.com> wrote:

I picked up a rotor labeled "G-800" as well as a controller labeled "G-1000DXA" from separate sellers at a hamfest awhile back. Do they play well together? I can't seem to find any info on a 'G-800' without a suffix such as 'DXA' or 'S', etc.
Any help will be appreciated! 73
