I have been awestruck by amateur satellites since my first exposure to
ham radio back in the '70s. I recall attempting to listen to the 10m
downlink of AO-7 on my Realistic DX-160 - without success. 'Working the
birds' has been on my bucket list ever since. I've been following the
SatNOGS project for quite some time and have put up two LoRA receivers
to contribute to the TinyGS effort. The time has finally arrived to
start sending some wigglies into space.
I'm looking for a Yaseu G-5500 AzEl rotor (or equivalent) to get into
satellite work. I have considered a DIY rotor system but frankly, I
already have more projects than I have the time, or energy, to complete.
Please contact me off-list. Many thanks from my teenage self!
