This week I was about this >< close from chucking digital modes out the
(*@&^#$! window when I finally got a hold of a proper CAT interface for my
FT-840, a FIF-232C box that converts RS-232 to TTL levels and back. Took me
two tries to get the DIN<->MiniDIN cable right because of Yaesu's poor
excuse for a proper schematic, but FINALLY, I can do digital modes without
a single USB cable to worry about RFI sneaking in and ruining my setup.
WSJT-X finally works without a hitch with full CAT control.
