The first shipment of radios of various types, antennas and HAM supplies
for the Zaporizhia Amateur Radio Club in Ukraine haved arrived in Poland
and will soon be delivered to Ukraine. On the right is my nephew-in-law
Wojtek and on the left is Bogdan Zdaniak, SP5WA, who will take care of the
delivery to Zaporizhia. Another shipment with a Yaesu FT-77 with a cap
replacement kit and other supplies was already received by air. This one
had to be shipped ground because of the batteries. More gear will be headed
to Ukraine soon, including a spare HyGain AV-14AVQ antenna that I had in my
garage. They also need more advanced gear, but I just can't afford it.
Their biggest need right now is compact test equipment gear to fix broken
radios.

It should also be noted that *no "chapter and verse" of anything was
required*. *Marines make it happen®. *We improvise, adapt and overcome any
obstacle in whatever situation we are needed, in the military or civilian
arenas. Doesn't matter if we are snot-nosed recruits right out of boot, or
old, overweight farts well past retirement age.
