Thanks Leandra,
Your post has made me rethink my logging FT8 strategy (I'm not an FT8
convert yet - and likely never will be). I currently use Easylog
<https://www.easylog.com/>, which is feature rich and I like it a lot.
It reads the radio settings via a USB connection. When I enter the call
sign, it gets the contact name and location from QRZ and when I hit
'save', uploads it to LotW. There's no good reason to use the WSJT-X
logging feature simply because it exists - especially since Easylog
understands FT8.
