[bars] You-do-it store closing

I was a Junior at Newton South High school when they opened the Needham
location in 1964 - so, close by. It was one floor only and so a far cry
from what it became.... and what it is today. I remember that a good
portion of the store had work benches, individual cubes with peg board
sides and power strips. The idea was that people would come in, buy kits
and/or parts, and work on their projects on site. That did not last
long. They added the second floor in the middle to late seventies IIRC -
I had moved out to the wilds of Tewksbury by then but still made
periodic pilgrimages. Sad to see them go.
