The 710 is Yaesu's entry level SDR rig. The DX10 is their hybrid SDR
Superhet design. Both are fantastic rigs. The 10 is more feature rich and
has the Variable Capacitor (VC) tune preselector as the top model DX101 (D
or MP).  As far as antennas go, look at wire antennas such as an Off Center
Fed from Palomar Engineers or an End Fed Random Wire also from Palomar.
Better yet, trek up to Ham Radio Outlet in Salem NH and ask the folks up
there for advice. They're all hama too.
