Hello Jay,

Congrats on the upgrade to Extra Class! I have the FTDX10 and I love it! It is a great radio at a great price point, and it is #3 on the Sherwood Engineering list for receivers! I would like to come up to the Campus at some point to see what you have for facilities for the UMass Lowell Ham Radio Club!

All three radios are very good, The FTDX101D being the best. As other parties have stated the FT-710 AESS is Yaesu only True SDR Radio. Simpler to the Icom 7300. If your budget allows the FTDX10 is the way to go. It has a great receive section, second only to the FTDX!01D/MP.
> Either radio takes time to adjust both with the receive and transmit. but when done to your liking you will enjoy either radio. The FT-710 AESS, I have the external speaker mounted on the right of the radio and with the AESS feature you can get a great balance between the internal and external speaker. The FTDX10 I run a pair of good quality computer speakers which can give a nice FM sound.
