[bars] BARS Email List Info Added to Website

Hello BARS List Subscribers,

A member had a great suggestion, making it easy to find information about
the BARS Email List on the website. They also suggested a "button" to send
an email to the list on the main page of the website. I am still working on
a good design for something like that; however, I did add a page about the
email list and it may have some helpful information for any of you,
especially if it's been a while since you subscribed and received
the "welcome" email that had some of this info.

For future reference, you can find the page in 2 clicks on the website,
under "ABOUT" and then "BARS EMAIL LIST". To save you time, I'll
include both the direct link below as well as a copy of the content itself.
If you have any suggestions for edits or information that is missing, just

BARS Email List

Do you want to hear about upcoming events and meetings first? Do you want
to communicate with other BARS subscribers and members? Do you want a way
to ask questions of experienced local amateurs?

You can sign up to subscribe to the BARS emails list. You do not have to be
a member of the club as the list is open to everyone but, of course, we’d
love to have you join! You’ll get notices about upcoming events and
meetings and emails from other subscribers that may include valuable
resources, questions, items for sale, or just general discussions. There
are usually 30-60 messages a month, so it won’t fill your inbox.
Subscribing to the List

To subscribe to the email list you have two easy options:

   1. Send an email to bars-subscribe at w1hh.org and then click the link in
   the email you’ll receive back to confirm your subscription. You are now
   subscribed.
   2. Visit the list management page at
   https://mail.w1hh.org/mailman/listinfo/bars_w1hh.org and enter your
   email. You can optionally set a password, which will allow you to manage
   your subscription and view the list of subscribers. After submitting, click
   the link in the email you’ll receive to confirm your subscription. You are
   now subscribed. This link is at the bottom of every email you’ll get from
   the list as well, so it’s easy to manage your subscription.

Sending Messages to the List

Once you are subscribed, you can simply send an email to bars at w1hh.org and
your message will be sent to all the subscribers. If you get an email from
the list, you can just reply and it should automatically reply to
bars at w1hh.org, so everyone gets your reply. It’s that easy!
Viewing the Archive

Want to find an old message? Maybe you lost it in your inbox, or you want
to see something from before you subscribed. Anyone can access the BARS
Archive at http://mail.w1hh.org/pipermail/bars_w1hh.org/
<http://mail.w1hh.org/pipermail/bars_w1hh.org/>and browse through all the
messages by date, thread, subject, or author.
Managing your Subscription

If you want to manage your subscription, you can use the info page at
http://mail.w1hh.org/mailman/listinfo/bars_w1hh.org to update your
settings, set a password, reset your password, or view the list of
subscribers. This link is also at the bottom of every email you get from
the BARS List for easy access.
Questions

If you have any questions, just email the list! Another member may be able
to help or if it’s something that requires a list administrator, someone
will respond directly to you in a private message.
