Hi Dave,

Like with any list discussion, for any Amateur Radio related subject, just
keep it civil and you should be good to go.

Thank you for sending the links. I was participating in K1KI’s New England
Division cabinet meeting representing the Yankee Clipper Contest Club as the
current President when your message arrived. I can pass along, Tom is not
supportive of it in the current form. It will come up for a vote next week
during the ARRL meeting. It will require a 2/3 vote to pass in its current
form and if any changes are made in the real time, it would require ¾ vote
to pass.

It does seem pretty restrictive and I can’t tell if it addresses the real
issues behind what is driving the change.

What are your thoughts?

Are there any rules about not discussing the proposed changes to ARRL bylaw
18 on this email list?

Some of the changes look pretty restrictive. If you haven't checked it out,
you should IMHO.
