Yes that is a Sony headset.  Good quality, the ear pads may be a bit worn, I have seen aftermarket slip on covers on Amazon . . .

It appears that one of the two Heil headsets has a dynamic, rather than condenser mic element; Icoms expect a condenser.  I'm going to grab an adapter from HRO tomorrow but I fear that the dynamic element will not have enough drive for decent audio.  We can always use the hand mic with the headset speakers, which work fine.

The third station (6M) has only the hand mic and a set of Sony (?) headphones.

As I recall, when my old club used those rigs, we always had to use one hand mic if we ran all 3 rigs.  I think we did that on the “least busy” station, possibly 6 meter.  I may have tagged one of those mics as being intermittent, but there is at lease one good one.  But another headset is not a bad idea.   My own stuff is all Yaesu.  BTW I will not be available for BARS FD this time as I have decided to do my own 1B operation, but I wish you all luck and may stop by Nan’s to say hi.

We're short one Icom compatible headset for the Field Day radios.  Anyone have one we could borrow?  Icom uses condenser mic elements rather than dynamic as used by most manufacturers.
