The November 2025 edition of the Billerica Amateur Radio Society (BARS)
newsletter highlights key club activities, including officer elections, a
hybrid meeting featuring guest speaker Jeffrey Schmidt (N5MNW) on digital
modes, and recent POTA activations. President Doug Bruce (N1WRN) shares
antenna upgrade projects and encourages participation in HF nets and the
club’s equipment loaner program. The newsletter also covers ARRL membership
incentives, CW contests, VE session updates, and upcoming ham radio events
like the ARRL Sweepstakes and CQ Worldwide DX Contest. Editor Marla Wallace
(WA1GSF) discusses QST magazine changes and recommends QEX for technical
enthusiasts. Additional features include photo QSL cards, reminders about
FCC email updates, and calls for volunteers and net control operators. Read
the whole newsletter online at

Thanks, as always, to our newsletter editor, Marla, for putting this
together every month. Also, thanks to those of you who contributed
articles. Without articles, there is no newsletter. If you have something
you'd like to submit for a future newsletter, be sure to send it to Marla
at wa1gsf at comcast.net.

Be sure to check out this month's newsletter on w1hh.org, to watch BARS
TV, and to get more info on our upcoming meetings and events.

As a reminder, BARS dues run from January 1 through December 31. Dues are
just $15 for the year and help pay for the club's Zoom account, the
website, Field Day activities, etc. If you have not renewed, you can do so
online at https://www.w1hh.org/join-or-renew/. If you're not sure if you
are current or not, email our club treasurer, Bruce Anderson, at
w1lus at hotmail.com.

73,
Dave
