I too am not familiar with what “LCW” means in this context. I did notice there are two evening sessions of the “Louisiana CW Net (LCW)” but their listed frequencies are on 80 not 40. Perhaps it is a club abbreviation and the caller was seeking other members. It is not always unusual to hear someone call CQ for an acronym that is not known widely.
