<div dir="ltr">Hi Folks,<div><br></div><div>Henry, WA1VAB, brought to my attention the topic of this next BARS meeting.</div><div><br></div><div>He also said he is currently using a new Yaesu FT-70DR handheld.</div><div><br></div><div>I looked at it and it sounds fine for my purposes.</div><div><br></div><div>Henry went a little bit into the cross-band repeat.</div><div><br></div><div>I think Henry said Andy programmed it for him.</div><div><br></div><div>I would like to get one, maybe shortly after the BARS meeting.</div><div><br></div><div>If anyone has thoughts about this radio, or other, please let me know.</div><div><br></div><div>I have never owned a handheld.</div><div>I do have two Yaesu mobile radios, one old 2M, the other a 10M, 6M, 2M and 70CM dual quad band.</div><div><br></div><div>I am assuming a 5 W handheld would get me into the BARS repeater from southern Lowell, near Chelmsford line.</div><div>Please comment on this if you can.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks.</div><div><br></div><div>Steve Schultz</div><div>AC1EX</div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div>
