You probably know of it as Ham Radio Outlet. We used Ham Radio in the business every hour of every working day, Gary. K1HRO is a repeater in the area and it’s pretty obvious who is operating it and why and no secret where the machine actually is. The FCC knows all about HRO, in fact they are customers.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>It is also legal for Hams to sell radios over the air, during conversations with other Hams. Inference is not a basis for legal action. Charging money for transmitting or using a transmission to guide business operations such as orders or schedules is illegal. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>Making money because of Ham activity and skills learned or perfected is a ham radio tradition and known business partnership from day 1 of licensing. Many people have gotten rich doing that, notably Art Collins for just one example. Developing improved radio techniques by using Ham radio is often done by corporate product development engineers. In fact, that is one of the stated public benefits of making licenses available, that working engineers can experiment.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>Mr. Graveline proposes here is just fine, a really great idea, and in no way would put him, or anyone involved in his project, in peril.
