I will reply to this as it appears I am once again receiving the list. Glad you figured that out Juan. But it depends on the rig. On my yaesu ft1000 the squelch does function in am/ssb mode. And I have a 1973 vintage ftdx401 where the ssb mic gain is also the Cw carrier power adjustment.

I should know to RTFM by now.. LOL! SQL doesn't work because on this radio it only works in FM mode and the optional FM board is not installed. Mic/Drive sets power out in SSB mode. It does nothing in CW or FM. Weird. And it looks like the meter is not supposed to be backlit.

So I guess the beast is working exactly as it is supposed to. <shrug>

Got the FT-77 connected and running. Amazingly, it works, with some exceptions. SQL adjust doesn't work, and output is a slight bit wobbly in USB mode. Settles down if I dial down mic/drive. CW works amazingly well. FM doesn't work, the board for it is an add-on and is not installed. In fact, it has no options installed. I was a bit surprised to see the CW option has to be soldered onto the main board. Backlight on the meter is also not working. I was heard once on FT8 but today is a nasty day for propagation. Solar activity on DXHeat is off the meter. The RF and noise attenuation work VERY well, better than on my 840.

And.... justy now a QSO with US2YW in Ukraine. The radio does transmit well. :) I'm also happy to see I've passed the 50% mark for QSL's on my QSO's.

I wish I had the test equipment and space in my shack to fix my 840 myself. It's going to have to go to a shop.
