Doing so uses more LoTW processing time than if you upload an entire day's (24 hours) worth of contacts. Your post has made me rethink my logging FT8 strategy (I'm not an
FT8 convert yet - and likely never will be). I currently use <a href="https://www.easylog.com/" target="_blank">Easylog</a>, which is feature rich
and I like it a lot. It reads the radio settings via a USB
connection. When I enter the call sign, it gets the contact name and
location from QRZ and when I hit 'save', uploads it to LotW. There's
no good reason to use the WSJT-X logging feature simply because it
exists - especially since Easylog understands FT8.<br>

N3FJP Amateur Contact Log has a very nominal, one time, license fee. I paid the fee for the entire suite of N3FJP tools. Well worth the very minor cost.
A bonus with Amateur Contact Log is, with a minor configuration change you can do in less than 5 minutes, you can use it to format POTA logs for submission.
I assume other logging programs can also import *.ADI files, too. This should be a standard feature of logging programs.
