1924, the very low frequency (VLF) transmitter with call sign "SAQ"
at Grimeton Radio Station in Sweden, was put into commercial operation.
Transmissions were sent across the Atlantic Ocean to the receiving station
located at Riverhead, L.I., NY.  Replying messages were sent from
a  transmitter station located at Rocky Point, also on Long Island.</span></p>

alternator from 1924, with the call sign SAQ, <b>is scheduled for one (1) 
transmission on VLF 17.2 kHz, CW, which will begin at 11:00 CET(10:00 UTC).</b> </span></p>
