<span style="font-size:18.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Tom, born and raised in Norfolk, VA, was first licensed at age 15 as KN4TSJ. As he progressed through the amateur ranks he was active in all the usual ham activities such as AREC, traffic, etc..
At the same time he worked DX when he could with limited antennas and equipment. By the mid-60s he found more satisfaction in DXing and eventually put most of his time and effort into DX.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

to over 200 worked. By now he was also gainfully employed and had a family.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

AL7EL and experienced DX from the other side which provided experience only gained from \u201cbeing DX\u201d. At the conclusion of his tour, he returned to the lower 48 and continued his career in Maryland, Georgia and New York. In 1996 he retired and established his
residence in Northeast Georgia and remains there to this day. When he retired he established a consulting firm providing services to the US Army worldwide.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
