[bars] A word about the Sat Morning Venue

I learned something troubling today about the venue (Stelios) where the club
has breakfast on Saturday mornings.

One of the bussers accidently dropped a tray of coffee cups.  At the end of
the week Michael, the owner, took $30 out of her check for the broken cups.

This is ILLEGAL!     It was an accident and an employer is never (under MA
Labor Laws) allowed to dock an employees hours for something like that.  A
number of servers and bussers have quit Stelios and rumor has it the entire
staff may follow suit.   

 

I would encourage and urge the Billerica Amateur Radio Society to
IMMEDIATELTY cease patronizing Stelios (even if it means missing a few weeks
while a new venue is found).  What Michael has done is illegal and immoral.
