Attached is N1IW's (SK) balun presentation he did at BARS.
I can't find his OCFD presentation so if someone has that
they can post it as well. We did a balun building BARS meeting
for the 4:1 current balun and folks put up their OCF dipoles.
Of course Mike's balun is for legal limit power. I believe N1ALO
built a smaller version for 100 watts and is using it.
All good info Steve.

Hello BARS,
The Sat AM Zoom meeting today got into a discussion about Off-Center-Fed Dipoles (OCFDs). This topic raised my interest in discussing or presenting topics such as:
Transmission Line Transformers
Balun/Unun Construction
Modeling Dipoles and Off-Center-Fed Dipoles with 4nec2 or EZNEC
Off-Center-Fed Dipole Variations
Feeding Off-Center-Fed Dipoles
LTspice, a graphical SPICE tool from Linear Technology and Analog Devices
Both 4nec2 and LTspice are free.
I do not proclaim to be an expert on these topics, but over time, I have gained some worthwhile experience with them.
What follows here are my comments about one kind of feed point mechanism for a particular OCFD. I then discuss some other feed point mechanisms for some other configurations of the OCFD.
Read on if you wish. Feel free to pass along your comments to me about either this prelude or the discussion in the attached file.
