I will miss Bob, he was a fun guy to be around. He also very generously
helped me learn about our hobby, including a tour of his shack.

His children Eric and Yalin as well as many of his friends in PART begged
him to get vaccinated.  Sadly and for whatever reason neither Bob or Maria
did.

If you haven't been vaccinated, please do.  If you have questions, hopefully
you have a physician you see regularly and has hospital privileges.  Ask
that doctor what they think, what their experience of patients who didn't
is.    As Hams, we are supposed to be dedicated to public service, education
and science.  Follow a doctor's advice.  That's the right thing to do in a
pandemic.

Dear BARS Members,

I am so sad to say that our wonderful friend and BARS member, Bob
Ravenstein,  W1FDR, is a silent key. 

Bob succumbed to the COVID virus last night,  just 2 days after losing his
wife Maria to the same virus.  

Bob was such a wonderful presence in BARS, on the net, at meetings, and of
course in the wild on fox hunts.  I am truly at a loss on
hearing this awful news.  Bob will be missed.  He did so much good in his
life.  

There are many tributes to Bob on the PART of Westford pages and I urge you
to read them if you are a member there.

Good bye Dear Friend.  RIP.
