We have Nearfest coming up shortly.

Most know about it but it is a Friday and Saturday
morning hamfest in Deerfield NH. BARS will be there
with both 10x20 foot shelters and tables. If you can be
there for 9AM Friday when the gates open and can help
us set up that will be appreciated. 

We will get the coffee maker going as soon as the shelters
and tables are set up. I'll have bottled water there as usual.
Given this is the first time there with covid I don't know how
many food vendors will be there. Plan accordingly. That said
we have a hot potluck dinner Friday night so if you'd like to
bring a dish that will be helpful. Power will be there so heating
a crockpot is doable as long as you get it plugged in by 2:3 0.
Voltage is not quite 120V.

As always bring a chair, bring clothing for the weather
(we've seen hot, cold, dry and wet, and an EF0 tornado),
bring cash to buy stuff 1's, 5's, 10's and 20's, bring a bag
to carry your stuff, bring stuff to sell at the club tables,
bring what you want to drink and maybe a snack or two
but recommend buying from the food vendors as they
are good to us. HTs can be set for 147.12 simplex.

Website says you can buy advanced tickets. That gets you
into the Friday prepaid line and gets you inside the gate
before the folks that buy their tickets there. I volunteer for
the 6AM to 9AM parking duty and yes there are folks that
are already inline before 6AM. 

Hope to see you there even if it is just for socializing, which
has been done past midnight. If you are staying over in a tent
or camper there is a camping fee. Check the website for
details.
