I've been looking at building my own programming cable for a Yaesu
FT-2980R. It looks like programming is just another way of cloning, except
one side is a computer. The PTT on RJ12 pin 6 is used for both tx and rx,
and it sounds like it's standard RS-232 5v TTL levels. Been trying to get
Yaesu to give me more info but they've been ghosting me. Not very nice of
them.

Anyway, it looks like on the PC side gnd <-> gnd, but the PTT on the radio
connects to both rx and tx on the serial port, with a diode on the tx
output of the serial port.

Sound about right to any of you?
