Whoops. My bad. That crystal does not come out to be replaced by the 112A.
It is replaced by the TCXO-4 Master Reference Oscillator. :)

My 840 already had that resistor replaced. Thanks.

I'm not on the air on HF yet. I finally put together all the bits and
pieces I need to mount the HyGain AV-14AVQ on my roof, including making the
top hat radials. I also had to improvise because I had no 52" M2 tube, only
two 26" (I have another antenna of the same model), so I couldn't tune the
bottom section for mid-band (which now reminds me that with roof mount I
had to redo all the tube lengths between traps!). I joined them with a 1"
copper coupler with stops and a couple of screw clamps.

I had to change plans on a ground install after probing resulted in
finding out my house sits on top of one big, honkin' piece of granite just
4-6 inches below the soil cover. Saturday is the day to put up the antenna,
radials, grounding wires and making the hole through the wall to get inside
my home office. :)
