Isn’t the MBTA still on EDACS ProVoice?

Jason: I can’t help much with scanner programming (I have a BCD536HP and
just programmed stuff via the keypad because I was too “lazy” to set up
programming software), but I would pass along
https://www.snewiki.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page as an excellent reference
for frequencies and such.

You may also find
http://new.marksscanners.com/996XT/996xt.shtml handy for getting familiar
with the somewhat tricky user interface.

You might also look at programming the Mass State Police 800 MHz trunked
system once you get settled in. It’s a wide-area simulcast system so you
can hear troopers throughout northeastern MA. They tend to show up to most
of the interesting calls in the area, beyond their own stuff.
