It was a bit exciting as we were in the room where the tree fell.  
Luckily it appears that the house is still water-tight despite a few 
shattered skylight panes. Other than a chimney cap and skylights, we 
prob. won't be able to assess the roof condition until the tree is 
removed.  I'll def. keep your tips in mind, thanks!

It is likely that a crane will be required to remove this beastie as any 
heavy equipment would have to traverse our septic tank/field - no bueno.

Claims rep. will be out on Friday to have a look - will know more after 
that meeting.  Fingers crossed.
