Good thinking to lower your antenna! Mine would require a tromp through
the woods to get to the raising rope. Honestly, I missed the forecast
of the high winds.
I use 4in 'clothesline' pulleys from the 'home improvement' store. One
at each end and one at the feed point. I end up with two ropes at each
location but the pulley rarely comes down - mostly only if the rope
supporting the wire jumps the pulley. I'm sure at some point the UV
will break down the plastic pulley but they are soooooo much cheaper
than the stainless ones that I can afford to replace them a few times
and still be ahead.
