CHIRP works nicely on Linux for programming HTs / small transceivers. You just have to be careful that you have a proper USB-A programming cable. There are very cheap ones that won't work. There is also a compatible equivalent of an EchoLink client called Qtel for making connections to compatible repeaters in the 2m+ range. Actually, I think it would work with any frequency compatible repeater. The only drawbacks I can see to it is that the repeaters list is very cumbersome to scroll through, and you can't change the name of a repeater in your "bookmarks" list to be more meaningful.

I think that’s also Windows only. However, there are other programs that will work with the NanoVNA. I had two different ones running but both were on windows. Maybe there is a Linux app out there somewhere but I am just in the process now of switching to Linux for my ham pc.

Subject: [bars] from W1LPG In the recent monthly talk, the presenter mentioned software namedSAVER (or similar) for using with the Nano VNA.
And a few months ago, Andy kb1oiq presented his fantastic collectionof just about all possible working ham software.  If that collection hasSAVER in it,  that there is an additional reason to put the two together,at minimum price and effort.  If not, Andy might be persuaded to addit in.
(My grammar school teachers said we never should say "that there")
