It could be that you were given a year free and you have to pay for it which I think is about $120 year is I think what I paid for mine with 3 or five licenses

If you have Microsoft 365 you can download the installer at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/download-office which should repair your install. Big blue button at the top. I believe the installer is small and then it downloads what it need during installation so the computer will need to be connected to the internet for some time while it does what it's going to do.

Note: I don't currently use this, but I have in the past.

About two years ago I bought a new laptop and came with Mircosoft 360 (I’m assuming that the new version of Microsoft Office).  Yesterday I tried opening an Excel spreadsheet and I got an error message that appears to indicated that Excel program itself has somehow been corrupted.

Since I’m not a software person, can anyone suggest the best way to fix this problem?  Do I have reload the entire Microsoft 365 program, and if so, where do I get copy?
