Interesting question Joe, it's new to me, a 95% CW op. My only guess is he
is seeking low speed CW QSO, best expressed as CQ QRS.  Was he in CW bands?
If so, sending CW to indicate Morse is superfluous, and If he was sending
slow, like less than 10 wpm, he might a newbie.  If you hear again, please
update us.

I heard someone on 40m tonight calling "CQ LCW" (using CW)  followed by the
call sign. I know what things like "CQ POTA" or "CQ SKCC" are, but not LCW.
Is there a resource somewhere that contains this type of information? (I
tried a couple of contest calendars, but didn't find anything there either.)
